My name is April FitzGerald

I’m a DIY-er, Graphic Designer, Blogger and Educator. If I could carry my sander and a paint brush at all times, I’d be in heaven.

Recycling, reusing, repurposing and crafting. However, these don’t necessarily have to be applied to only tangible goods. They can just as easily be applied to the less tangible things, like the way you think about yourself.

Sometimes we tend to fall through the cracks

It can be difficult to find a way out of the cracks once we fall in. My goal is to help you re-evaluate how you see yourself and bolster it with a good old dose of self-sufficiency. Hopefully, you’ll find at least a small kernel of inspiration to take with you so that it’s a little easier to get back to bringing your A-game.

I know it’s cliché …

It is cliché to say that the grass is greener on the other side, but in the case of going green by repurposing old stuff … it really is :)

So if you

  • like DIY projects
  • want to learn to get rid of self-defeating habits
  • want to become self-sufficient
  • like finding treasures of the thrifty kind
  • have a habit of drooling over power tools
  • enjoy the occasional random post …

Then Chasing Greener Days (CGD) is for you!

I love hearing from you

Be it a suggestion about posts or the site, your personal experiences with that crazy neighbor next door, or just your battles with mucking through the daily grind … I’m all ears.

Just click the big graphic “Talk to meh!” button below, and we’ll be communicating with one another in no time.

Affiliate Links

I have not been asked by any author or company to review the products that are listed on CGD. The products I review were randomly chosen by me because of my weakness for pretty designs, strange titles, or a product’s overall awesomeness. However, for some of the books I review I may post an Amazon affiliate link. Amazon is currently the only affiliate that I have.

A few more things about me that may interest you …

  • I am a minimalist at heart who loves color when it comes to design.
  • I like to build things (was an Architecture major before Graphic Design).

  • I love thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales and antique shops.
