Hmm … Should I stay or go?

Stay or go? by April FitzGerald, Illustrator

Is it a fluke?

I haven’t posted in ages, because I’m concentrating on my illustrations and children’s books (aprilfitzgerald.com and robots & things), but in the past three months there has been a boom in visits to this blog. If there is anyone who’d care to clue me in as to why, I’d greatly appreciate it :)

This isn’t a “pay attention to me!” post

Such things aren’t my style by any means. But because of this surge, that brings into question whether I want to officially leave CGD as-is, or start posting again.

Being “green” is still very much a part of my life, new additions to the fur and feathers family have been added, some lost … I enjoy posting my random ideas and thoughts for you to read and perhaps chime in (respectfully) with your own views.

Hmm … I think I’ll give it a day or two before officially deciding, but if you happen to have an opinion in the mean time, let me know in the comments or shoot me a message.

Thanks for reading/visiting for at least this long :)

Cheers,
April

May 7, 2011

I’m still not spinning with all wheels due to the untimely death of one of our beloved dogs this week. But I’m attempting to forge ahead. Today’s post rounds out the building of the goose house. It was an adventure but I’m glad it’s done. Roof House now in place (remember we had to move [...]

It’s hard to write this, but I’m using this post as a form of self-therapy. Yesterday one of our 4-legged family members passed away unexpectantly. The shock is still strong. How could one little dog, usually hyper, full of smiles and so lovable, be gone in just a few moments? Katy and Rupert (our other [...]

Look, Ma! No hands! A house of their own — ’cause ours is getting too small! As you may know by now, I have a couple of Sebastopol geese running around my backyard, Ethan and Gracie. Although they are tons of fun — they grow fast, so needed a house of their own. The old Tupperware [...]

iPad: My Technological Soulmate?

iPad … is it worth it? I’ve had my iPad for a few months now, and I must say … I love it! Ok … “Technological Soulmate” is a bit strong, but I find that I use my Mr. Walley Snookybottoms (What? You don’t think that’s a good name?) more than I use my laptop [...]

New Babies and Lots of … Poop

March 30, 2011

Self-sufficiency and sustainability We are starting our own garden and have adopted a few chicks of the Rhode Island Red and Araucana  (they lay the colorful “Easter eggs”) variety. The left over veggie/fruit scraps container is in position in the kitchen with my new composter (courtesy of they hubby) positioned out back. I’m digging up [...]
